The Sculpture concentration emphasizes competencies in art history, criticism, aesthetics, and traditional and contemporary approaches to making sculpture. Traditional studies include classes on the figure as well as investigations of a variety of sculptural materials and techniques including wood, metal, molding, casting, carving. Additionally, our students explore interdisciplinary projects extending the boundaries of sculpture to installation, media arts, collaboration, and performance.
